The second important factor in increasing your vocal range, is to blend your vocal resonances. Your tone will resonate in your throat, your mouth, and your nasal cavities.

Each one of these cavities will favor different frequencies... produce a different sound. To develop beautiful tone, you must balance these vocal resonances. Once balanced, your tone will be superb.

As you move through the different areas of your voice (low, middle, and high), the resonance will undergo changes. For example, when you are singing low notes, most of the resonance will be felt in the throat and mouth.

As you pass up through your range, you will feel the reasonce pass behind the soft palate (the soft tissue that acts as a divider of your mouth and nasal cavity), and into your nasal cavities.

When you are singing in your highest range, most of the reasoance is felt in your head (nasal cavity).

Chest voice - The voice we generally speak in. The vocal chords vibrate across their entire length, and the resonance is primarily in the throat and mouth. Chest voice produces a thick, rich, vocal sound.

Head voice - This is the highest part of our usable range. The vocal chords are in a shortened or "zipped up" coordination, and the resonance is primarily in the nasal or head cavity. Head voice produces a slightly hooty sound, like when you impersonate an owl "hooting"!

Mixed voice - This is a commercial sounding voice, that is higher in pitch than the chest voice. It is the voice you hear most top 40 artists using on the radio. It uses a "zipped up" chord coordination, although it gives you the same impression as singing in chest voice, with sweeter tone quality.

The resonance is split in this coordination, half in the mouth and half in the head cavity. For commercial success, learning to sing in the mixed voice is a must.

Ok, here's an obvious one....

Warm up before doing any vigorous singing exercises! I know it's tempting to get straight into it....

Warming up your voice will increase the blood flow to your vocal chords. The muscles will then find it so much easier to operate effectively. You will be able to sing much better, with much less vocal tension.

It's so simple, yet so many singers forget to warm up.

Begin by humming nice and relaxed, in a easy range. Use simple scales, and don't try and sing too high, too early!

After humming for a few minutes, continue warming up by doing some lips rolls on a slightly harder scale. After ten minutes of this, your vocal chords should be nice and flexible, ready for some more challenging exercises!

Don't forget to warm up. Your voice will thank you for it.

Just as it is important to warm up before singing, you must warm down after singing. This will prevent your voice from getting tight, and it will make it easier next time you sing.

Do a gentle slide from your highest, easily reached note, down to your lowest note, and then into vocal fry (Vocal fry is the first noise you make when you wake up!

It sounds like Elma Fudd...."Hewo" in his crackly vocal fry!). If you still don't know what vocal fry is, stop the exercise when you get to your lowest note.

Do this exercise 10 to 15 times after every practise session. Keep it very relaxed... It will reinforce the progress you had made in that lesson. This is one of the most overlooked of the singing tips...

InetBerry - Membeli BlackBerry bekas tidaklah sesederhana seperti membeli ponsel bekas lainnya. Jangan sampai tertipu. Ada beberapa hal yang harus Anda cermati sebelum memutuskan untuk membelinya.

Anda jelas perlu memeriksa dengan teliti spesifikasi produknya. Alasannya, banyak pengguna akhirnya tak bisa akses sama sekali layanan karena PIN disuspen (ditolak) atau sebelumnya menggunakan jenis layanan operator berbeda (PIN belum dirilis).

Salah satu cara mudah dalam persoalan spesifikasi ini bisa dilakukan dengan melakukan WIPE BlackBerry alias mereset secara manual perangkat agar data yang ada sebelumnya bisa hilang. Cara WIPE adalah sebagai berikut:

Di sisi lain, Anda juga bisa mencoba memperbesar huruf kapital tadi dengan masuk menu OPTIONS, lalu ADVANCED OPTIONS, lalu HOST ROUTING TABLE, lalu klik simbol BlackBerry, dan selanjutnya pilih menu REGISTER NOW.

Apabila dua cara ini dilakukan dan huruf masih kecil, besar kemungkinan suspen atas personel identification number/PIN masih terjadi sehingga BlackBerry bekas hanya bisa menelepon dan SMS. Pembeli unit seken juga tak kalah penting memeriksa IT policy dengan melakukan sebagai berikut:

Masuk menu OPTIONS >> SECURITY OPTIONS >> FIREWALL. Jika muncul tulisan enabled dengan logo gembok merah di sebelahnya, maka BlackBerry bekas terkena kebijakan internet dari pengguna sebelumnya.

Kebijakan sebelumnya, misalnya BlackBerry Entreprise Service (BES), akan membuat Anda tidak bisa mengakses layanan internet di luar yang telah ditentukan sehingga kenyamanan berselancar di dunia maya akan terganggu.

Jadi, dua kunci utama dalam membeli BlackBerry bekas adalah memastikan bahwa PIN tidak disuspen dan layanan sudah bebas dari kebijakan pengguna sebelumnya (PIN sudah dirilis). Prosedur lainnya yang tidak kalah penting adalah memperhatikan kesesuaian nomor PIN dan IMEI di menu status dengan di dus BlackBerry Anda.

2. Jalankan Wizard Setup.

Ketika anda menerima BlackBerry anda dan pertama kali menayalakan unit tersebut, BlackBerry akan menjalakan Setup Wizard. Banyak diantar pengguna yangt tidak mempedulikan Wizard ini karena ingin segera menggunakannya, hal inilah yang akan membuang-buang memori.

Setup Wizard ini akan melakukan banyak hal, dan terutama adalah membuang bahasa yang tidak ingin anda gunakan dari BlackBerry anda. Unit baru pada umumnya sudah disiapkan dengan banyak bahasa. Tiap bahasa, memakan memori di BlackBerry anda. Jika anda ingin menggunakan 1 bahasa saja, pastikan anda memilih hal tersebut pada saat Setup tadi, dan dengan hal ini, bahasa lain yang ada akan dihapus. Hal ini akan memperbesar memori kosong sehingga anda akan mendapat ruangan lebih untuk berbagai aplikasi dan email2 penting.

Selain itu, Wizard Setup akan memberikan anda tutorial baik untuk Navigasi dan Mengetik, dan akan memandu anda langkah demi langkah untuk mengakses email anda.

3. Selalu gunakan jempol.

Salah satu kesalahan yang sering orang lakukan pada saat menggunakan BlackBerry adalah tidak menggunakan jempol. Blackberry didesain untuk diketik dengan menggunakan kedua jempol anda. Mengetik satu persatu menggunakan telunjuk sama sekali bukan cara yang efektif untuk menggunakan BlackBerry, dan selain itu, karena desain yang ada tidak mendukungnya, maka kecepatan mengetik anda akan sangat rendah.

4. Hemat waktu dengan autotext.

Salah satu fitur yang selalu ada dalam BlackBerry. Mekanisme ini akan selalu mengenali kata yang anda tulis, dan akan kemudian segera membenarkan kata yang salah pada saat anda menekan spasi. Misalnya, anda mengetik acn, bukannya can, BlackBerry akan segera menggantinya dengan can pada saat anda menekan tombol spasi.

Fitur ini juga dapat sangat mempercepat pengetikan, beberapa fitur autotext juga memungkinkan anda mengetik dengan sangat cepat. Misal anda ingin memberitahukan agar lawan anda segera menelepon anda. Anda tinggal mengetik “Please call me at mynumber [spasi]” Email yang akan diterima oleh lawan anda akan berisi nomor anda. Demikian juga dengan kata mypin. Myver akan mengirimkan model BlackBerry yang anda gunakan dan OS yang ada dalam BlackBerry tersebut.

Dalam Options –> Autotext, anda dapat menentukan entry (atau perintah) untuk mengetik kata tertentu. Misal, anda sangat terbiasa untuk selalu mendapat follow up setelah meeting, dan anda sering menggunakan kalimat seperti: “Terima kasih atas waktu yang diberikan, saya akan segera menindak lanjuti hasil meeting tadi, sekiranya ada lagi yang bisa saya lakukan sebelum saya menindak lanjuti secara resmi, jangan ragu untuk memberitahukan kepada saya.” Kata ini dapat anda masukkan sebagai rapat21. Jadi setelah meeting besok pagi, di dalam lift, anda tinggal mengetik “Dear Bapak Deni, rapat21 [spasi]” dan anda akan dapat segera mengirimkan email follow up anda bukan?

5. Ingat shortcut

Banyak sekali shortcut yang dapat anda pakai untuk lebih mempercepat pengetikan di BlackBerry anda.

*Tekan dua kali [spasi] = titik dan 1 spasi
*Tekan huruf dan tahan, maka huruf tadi akan berubah menjadi Kapital. BlackBerry akan mengubah semua huruf menjadi kapital setiap kali ada tanda titik disebelahnya.
